Two Charged Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Two men have been charged following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.
The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, police said.
A toddler was one of the people hurt in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
