Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

An official for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.

The company has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

He has published over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
