Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

A plane carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, according to an official announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The plane landed following standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative commented in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels at the time.

This occurrence isn't the first time that a United States armed forces jet transporting a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane carrying Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to return to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
