On Monday, Leicester Crown Court heard call records and data recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt repeatedly asking Madeleine's mother for a genetic test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a family holiday in Portugal - is one of the most covered child disappearance cases and is still unsolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another phone message, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I feel."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's voicemail said: "Suppose there is a tiny probability that I'm her? What then? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I do not need money, I have a living here in Poland, I only wish to understand," the recording stated.

The tribunal was informed that via electronic messages, SMS messages and calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a similarity to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

The investigator, a data specialist with the police force who compiled the evidence, told the court there "showed no any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On that date, the father responded to a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

That day Ms Wandelt deposited a message on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I will continue and I intend to demonstrate my position."

The court heard correspondence between the two individuals, in last November, planning attempting to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her garbage or from silverware at a dining venue.

On the occasion of the trip to their house, Mrs Spragg sent a text which expressed: "We find ourselves positioned outside the McCanns' residence with our vehicle dark resembling private investigators. I had hoped to do this with another person I hadn't anticipated I would be involved in this with the McCanns."
